Choreographer and TV personality Arlene Phillips has donated money to a Perth girl with an advanced stage of cancer.
Ms Phillips, who was a former judge on the popular programme Strictly Come Dancing, donated £50 on the crowd funding page set up to raise money for nine-year-old Lily Douglas, who is currently receiving treatment at Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.
The well-known choreographer posted a message on the crowd funding page, expressing her good wishes to keen dancer Lily, who is a pupil at St John’s RC Academy Primary School in Perth.
Ms Phillips said: “Sending lots of love. Be brave, stay positive and keep your soul dancing. Arlene x.”

Brooke Robertson, who was the brainchild behind the crowd funding page, said: “I couldn’t believe we had a donation from Arlene Phillips. Thanks to everyone for getting the word out.”
An amazing £13,275 has been raised for Lily in just two days. The money should provide financial help to Lily’s parents, Jane and Scott, who are at their daughter’s side at the Edinburgh hospital.
Other friends of the family reacted to the announcement that Ms Phillips had given a donation by posting messages on social media.
Neil Hartley wrote: “This is absolutely amazing.”
Meanwhile, Amanda Thomson said: “Outstanding.”
And Rachel Mearns praised Ms Robertson for encouraging Perth and Kinross residents to support the fundraising campaign.
“Brooke, you have done amazing work getting this on Facebook and spreading the word,” she said.
Lily was last week diagnosed with stage 4 of Ewing’s Sarcoma – a form of bone cancer – after previously complaining of a sore lump on her shoulder after she had taken part in a dance competition.
Ms Robertson described Lily as “an explosion of energy, joy, talent and kindness.”
The nine-year-old attends two dance schools in Perth – JGN Dance Attic and Inspire Dance Studios.
She began her treatment at Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital on Monday.
