A number of Courier Country roads have closed as heavy snowfall affects much of Scotland.

Wintry weather hit the country on Wednesday morning, with the northbound lane of the A82 between Bridge of Orchy and Tyndrum in Highland Perthshire forced to close “indefinitely” due to the conditions.

The A9 Perth to Inverness road around Blair Atholl is also said to be badly affected by the freezing conditions.

Snow has also closed both the A93 Braemar to Perth road around the Glenshee Ski Centre and the Cairn O’Mount between Fettercairn and Strachan.

A brief but heavy spell of wintry weather moved into Dundee in the morning and lasted until the afternoon.
