A pensioner denies staring into neighbours’ properties, moving bins, painting a garage wall and swearing at residents.

Michael Waters, 69, of Keltybridge, Kelty, faces several charges including removing guttering and moving flower pots around, with one pair of neighbours accusing him of committing several offences over a five-year period.

Waters denies that between August 4, 2011, and November 1, 2016, at an address in Keltybridge, Kelty, he engaged in a course of conduct which caused a married couple fear and alarm by repeatedly staring into their property and on occasions take photographs of them and their property.

He is due to stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court in relation to the alleged offences.

Waters also denies repeatedly entering their garden without permission and moving their bins about, painting a garage wall without permission, repeatedly shouting and swearing at them, repeatedly removing and interfering with guttering at their house, causing damage to it and to their roof, over the same time-frame.

In addition, Waters denies a separate charge that on various occasions between September 23, 2015, and September 30, 2016, at another address in Keltybridge, Kelty, he engaged in a course of conduct which caused a female neighbour fear and alarm by repeatedly shouting, swearing and behaving in an aggressive manner towards her.

The same charge also alleges that he repeatedly entered this woman’s property, removed her fence and moved flower pots around, climbed on to her roof and pulled at her guttering causing damage, repeatedly stared into her property and stared at her.

Waters denies the alleged offences.

A trial date of May 21 has now been set for Waters at Perth Sheriff Court.
