Tayside Police Division have been inundated with reports of “localised” flooding across Perthshire after the region was hit by a downpour.
A spokeswoman for the force said calls are coming in from “all over” the area with drivers warned to take care on the roads.
Though Perth falls under the warning area, Dundee and most of Angus are not affected.
It came after the Met Office enforced two yellow rain warnings across Tayside and Fife, claiming several inches could land in the space of just a few hours on both Friday and Saturday.
Just before 5pm, Tayside Police Division said: “Police Scotland Tayside are currently receiving numerous calls in relation to localised flooding on the Perthshire area.
“We would ask that motorists take extreme care and avoid flooded areas if possible and encourage members of the public to report any areas of flooding that are of particular concern.”
More to follow.
