Hollywood A-lister Gerard Butler has put the spotlight on Perthshire as he returned to his home country for Christmas.
The Scots actor shared a video of himself standing amidst Highland scenery to his thousands of followers on Twitter and Instagram on Friday morning, posting simply “Scotland”.
Speaking in the video he said: “Scotland – ach, it’s good to be home.”
There is speculation that he may have returned to Perthshire, where his mother lives, and that the footage was taken at Loch Earn.

Butler hails from Paisley but his mum lives in the Comrie area, where he is a regular visitor.
In November, Butler’s Malibu home was burned to the ground during the biggest and most destructive wildfire in California’s history.
The actor’s film centred around an Arbroath lighthouse keeper, The Vanishing, is due to be released in January 2019.
And the 300 and Olympus Has Fallen star appears to have given his homeland a big tourism boost with the short social media post.
A stark beauty, but it’s on my list to see
