Perthshire Occupational Therapists have put together activity packs for local people with learning disabilities.
Professionals in the Community Learning Disabilities Team created the packs to help their patients relieve boredom during the lockdown and to encourage mental and physical activity.
Included in the packs are items such as an information booklet, craft activities and colouring sheets.
Some packs have also been tailored to help people with a specific difficulty, or who are struggling with the physical distancing restrictions.
Clinical specialist occupational therapist Sally Thomas said: “We have been delivering the activity packs to our patients’ doorsteps to help relieve any boredom during this time.
“We have had some early feedback from our patients about how they have enjoyed the pack and what has been interesting for them and we hope to keep providing these over the coming weeks.”
Staff groups have also received reading materials to help support service users in understanding the COVID-19 pandemic and current restrictions.
Anyone who wishes to donate items should contact Sally Thomas on sally.thomas2@nhs.net for further information and guidance.
