A celebration to mark the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth will be held in Birnam later this summer.
The village art centre will host the performance An Evening with Beatrix and Charlie. The event, which premiered in 2014, is based on the children’s author’s friendship with postman and musician Charlie McIntosh from Inver, near Dunkeld.
The show features readings from Beatrix’s journal, written during her stay at Heathpark, Birnam, in 1892.
There will also be extracts read from Henry Coates’ biography of Charlie, plus some of his songs. The event takes place on Thursday, July 28.
