Three incidents cause congestion
A second accident on the busy motorway also contributed to the problems.
Lane 2 northbound was blocked near the same junction while an HGV broke down between Junction 10 and 9 near Bridge of Earn.
These have both since cleared with traffic on the motorway improving by 10am.
An 8km diversion is in place, taking southbound traffic along the M90 for 4km.
Vehicles then need to take Junction 9 at the Bridge of Earn underpass to continue 4km back up the M90 towards Perth.
The Junction 10 westbound slip road will then take drivers back towards Broxden roundabout.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to a crash on the A192 at approximately 7.20am.
“Officers attended the scene near junction with the M90.
“Emergency services are in attendance and road closures are in place.”
A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed six appliances attended to assist at 7.26am before leaving at 9.40am.
