The A94 was shut near a Perthshire village after a three-car crash.
At least three police vehicles, three fire appliances and three ambulances were called to the main road near Balbeggie.
The road links Perth to Coupar Angus and continues towards Forfar.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We attended a crash on the A94 near Balbeggie.
“Three vehicles were involved.
“We assisted police with the incident.”
Fire crews left the scene at around 4.50pm.
It is not known if anyone was injured in the crash.
Perth and Kinross Council said traffic would be diverted via the A93.
A post on Facebook said: “The A94 Perth to Coupar Angus road is closed one mile north of Balbeggie close to Rosefield Farm due to a Road Traffic Accident.
“Northbound traffic will be diverted at Perth onto the A93 to Guildtown then via the C437 to Burrelton.
“Southbound Traffic will be diverted from the A94 at Redstone Crossroads to Guildtown then onto the A93, back to Perth.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
