The body of a man has been recovered after a vehicle went into the River Tay in Perth.
Road closures were in place in the city centre at Tay Street following the incident, which occurred just before 2pm on Saturday.
Police say an investigation is ongoing, but it is not believed anyone else was in the vehicle.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.55pm on Saturday, July 5, police were called to Tay Street in Perth following a report that a car had gone into the river.
“Police and emergency services attended and recovered the body of a man from the vehicle.
“He is believed to have been the only person in the car.
“At this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
