A teen has been killed and a man left seriously injured following an accident between a lorry and a car in Perthshire.
A 17-year-old male has died following the collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and an HGV at about 6.55am on the A84 Doune to Callander road.
A 52-year-old man remains in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries. He was airlifted there by Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance based at Scone following the collision.
Inspector Andrew Thomson from the Road Policing Unit in Stirling said: “Tragically this collision has resulted in a young man losing his life while another man is in hospital with serious injuries.
“We are still trying to establish exactly what happened during this incident and would urge motorists who were on the A84 at the time and saw what happened to contact police immediately.
“In particular, we would be keen to hear from anyone who has dash-cam footage withing their footage, which may be of significant use to this investigation.”
The road remained closed until 3pm.
Police are appealing for information on the crash. Anyone who can help should contact the Road Policing Unit at Stirling via 101 and quote incident number 513 of November 17.
