Courier country pupils are off until Monday at the earliest as the Beast from the East weather continues to blast Tayside and Fife.
Fife was the first to confirm its schools would be closed on Friday, and was soon followed by Perth & Kinross Council.

Current weather conditions across Perth and Kinross along with the forecasts for the next 24 hours are continually under review. As widespread snow fall and drifting is expected to continue all of our schools are closed on Friday 2 March 2018 to both pupils and staff.

Angus Council has also decided that its schools should stay closed until the Beast from the East weather conditions improve.

Dundee City Council has waited until early each morning this week before confirming its intentions — drawing criticism from some parents who have urged it to give them as much notice as possible.
However, after the city saw repeated snow showers throughout Thursday the city anounced its decision shortly after 3pm.
In light of the exceptional weather conditions expected by forecasters, we have taken a decision to CLOSE all Dundee primaries, secondaries and nurseries again tomorrow (Friday).
