The one-vehicle crash happened on the A713 road near to the entrance leading to Grennan, Castle Douglas, on Tuesday at 3.40pm. The man, from Castle Douglas, was freed from a green BMW and airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he later died.
