Straw bale works of art have been springing up on roadsides all across Scotland in recent weeks, to much delight and speculation from locals.
Yesterday it was revealed that young farming groups across the country were behind the creative sculptures as part of the Young Farmers’ Bale Art Competition promoting Scotch Lamb and encouraging fundraising.
Two Perthshire Junior Agricultural Clubs (JACs) in Streathearn and Bankfoot have been named among the six national finalists in the bid to find the best artwork in the country.
After our story on the straw bales went live, our Facebook page was inundated with photographs of others the length and breadth of Scotland.
We’ve decided to pull all the images together. Keep ’em coming!
