One-time Rangers goalkeeper Scott Gallacher is closing in on a move to Championship side Arbroath.
It comes as the 31-year-old’s present club Airdrie upped their interest in Stranraer shot-stopper Max Currie as his replacement.
Gallacher – who played four times for the Light Blues – has worked with Red Lichties boss Dick Campbell before when he was in charge of Forfar back in 2010.
He’s also had spells at Cowdenbeath, Hearts, Alloa, St Mirren, Hibs and Dumbarton before joining the Diamonds in the summer of 2018.
The Scotland under-21 cap suffered a knee injury just six games into his career with the Lanarkshire club however he battled back to reclaim a starting jersey for Ian Murray’s side.
Gayfield goalkeeper Darren Jamieson left the club this week after being dislodged by Derek Gaston last season with Gallacher set to sign when his contract with the Lanarkshire club expires next week.
