Dunfermline Athletic have snapped up freed Dundee United kid Zeke Cameron.
The highly-rated teenager has penned a two-year deal after being targeted by the Pars following his Tannadice exit.
It is understood the Fifers beat off other clubs to land the 18-year-old.
The promising midfielder is expected to join the club’s development squad in the coming campaign.
But the East End Park outfit have stressed the youngster’s potential after manager Neil Lennon played a key role in discussions over the move.
Cameron spent time last season on loan at Cowdenbeath alongside Dunfermline striker Jake Sutherland.
A Pars statement read: “The club sees Zeke as a young player with exciting potential.
“And we’re looking forward to helping him take the next steps in his development within our pathway – whether that’s through involvement with the first-team or continuing to build experience as part of our development group.”
Cameron: ‘Really happy’ to join Pars
Cameron spent two years at United after joining from Dundee West in 2022 but was released earlier this summer.
He commented: “I’m really happy to have joined the club and I can’t wait to get started.
“I enjoyed my experience at Cowdenbeath last year, playing men’s football.
“On the pitch I can play on either wing, I live to drive at players, take them on, create chances, put crosses in the box and get shots away.”
