Jim Weir is keen to draw a line under some poor defensive displays by his Forfar Athletic side.
And his team selection for today’s Angus derby clash with Brechin City will show it.
“There will be changes,” said Weir.
“In the last three league games we’ve lost, we conceded 10 goals. That isn’t acceptable.
“We were on top against Arbroath in the first half last weekend and Dick (Campbell) admitted that he was happy to be level.
“But in the second half we weren’t switched on and made some really bad decisions and the fight goes out of the team. It’s the same individuals, and concentration levels have to improve.”
Michael Kennedy is out for Forfar but Michael Travis is available.
Weir added: “We’ve now played three of the favourites for the title – Dumbarton, Raith Rovers and Forfar – away from home. We’d liked to have got more than three points but we’ve now got two home games in our next three and hopefully we can make home advantage count.
“That will be very important in this league.”
Meanwhile, Brechin boss Darren Dods believes the battle of two impressive strike partnerships will have a big say on where the points are going this afternoon.
He explained: “John Baird has got a lot of experience at this level and Dale Hilson is a very good forward as well.
“For us, Callum Hendry is fitting in nicely. He made a big impact at Arbroath, then coming up against Wedderburn, Davidson and Benedictus last week will have been a great learning experience for him.
“He’s linking up nicely with Andy Jackson in training and we’ll see which strike force comes out on top.”
Dods, who expects to have Jordan Sinclair available but not Dougie Hill, added: “It’s a good sign when we’re scoring late goals, like we did last weekend against Raith. It happened too often the other way for us last season.
“It shows that the team is fighting to the end and hopefully that will continue.”
