Brechin City want to turn draws into wins

Darren Dods.
Darren Dods.

Brechin City have become League One’s draw specialists.

And that is something Darren Dods wants to see changing against Airdrie this afternoon.

The Glebe Park men have shared the points in their last four games.

Two of those results have pleased Dods, but two have left him frustrated.

“Two years ago when we were in this league we hardly seemed to draw a game,” he said. “It was all wins and losses.

“Now we’ve had four in a row.

“The points we got against Arbroath and Raith were good ones but we should have won the other two games.

“In one way it’s a good sign that we’re hard to beat but obviously we want to turn the draws into wins, starting tomorrow.”

Dods added: “East Fife showed how quickly you can move up the table if you get a few wins on the bounce.

“That’s what we’re looking to do.

“Airdrie have been an inconsistent team so far. They signed about 12 players and are a very good side on their day.”

Dougie Hill is still out for Brechin.
