Dundee eye-up move for in-demand winger Nathan Ralph

Dundee are eyeing a move for in-demand wing-back Nathan Ralph.

The 24-year-old is in the middle of a one-year deal with English National League outfit Woking and his performances this term have attracted interest from a string of clubs.

And last week saw Bury have a five-figure offer for him knocked back.

With Woking accepting they are highly unlikely to be able to hang on to him when his contract expires in the summer and he can move for free, the former Ipswich youth could still be on his way this month.

Charlton, Oxford and Doncaster Rovers have also been linked, having watched him regularly during the first half of the season.

And the Tele understands he is also on Dens Park boss Neil McCann’s radar.

It’s also understood the player himself would give serious consideration to moving to the Scottish Premiership if Dundee and Woking were to agree a price for him.

While he dropped down to the National League last year, Ralph has experience in the EFL.

He started as a youth player at Ipswich Town before moving on to Peterborough United. He’s subsequently had spells with Kettering, Yeovil, Newport and Aldershot.

And Dundee have already had success in raiding the National League this season.

Attacker Roarie Deacon was fixed up from Sutton United last summer and has done well.

He’s made 22 appearances so far, though has been out with a leg problem since the defeat at Hearts a month ago.

Deacon may still be sidelined when Inverness Caley Thistle visit in the Scottish Cup on Saturday week.
