The moment a Dundee player accidentally cleaned out a teammate during Saturday’s game against Rangers has gone viral.

Dark Blues right-back Cammy Kerr, who captained the side on the day, was running back into his own half at Ibrox when Jack Hendry slide-tackled him near the halfway line in an attempt to clear the ball.

The official Dundee FC Twitter page tweeted during their live reporting of the match that the defender had “wiped out” Kerr.

Dundee were beaten 4-1 by Rangers on Saturday, leaving the side still searching for a first win of the 2017-18 season.

BBC Sport Scotland captured the moment.
