Kyle Magennis Dundee trial ends as midfielder set for return to former club

Kyle Magennis has left Dundee after his trial period ended early.

The 26-year-old former St Mirren, Hibs and Kilmarnock star is set to return to a former club.

New Dens head coach Steven Pressley was keen to take a look at Magennis after he was released by Killie at the end of last season.

However, he wanted to see how Magennis fared over an extended period before making a decision due to the player’s injury history.

But Kilmarnock have returned with an offer for the former Scotland U/21 man, just a few short weeks since releasing him at the end of contract.

And he is expected to re-sign at Rugby Park.

That now sees the Dee looking elsewhere for reinforcements.
