Dundee have denied that Jim Jefferies is about to be brought to Dens Park to help out manager Neil McCann.
The 67-year-old was McCann’s boss at Hearts and the pair subsequently worked together at Dunfermline.
Speculation has been growing that there is a desire at Dundee to bolster McCann’s coaching staff with some experience but the message has been sent out from the club that Edinburgh City’s sporting director will not be arriving.
Meanwhile, Courier Sport understands that Sunderland are in no rush to sign Glen Kamara.
The Black Cats did make an enquiry in the summer but the fee quoted by Dundee was too high for them to consider making a bid and they then signed Max Power on loan.
But, with Kamara due to be out of contract at the end of the season, a move to snap him up on a pre-contract agreement for next year can’t be ruled out.
