The 27-year-old is alleged to have repeatedly hit Zaluska on the head to his injury on 20 October last year. It is claimed Paton carried out the attack at Ashton Lane and Byres Road in Glasgow “whilst acting with another”. Paton was not at Glasgow Sheriff Court today, but plead not guilty on a letter sent on his behalf. A trial was set for October this year.
