Dundee United are still trying to get the revolving door at Tannadice moving so more signings can be made before the transfer window closes.
Trialists Martin Woods and Mathias Thrane were again training with the first-team squad at St Andrews.
But they are only expected to be offered deals if players have left by the end of summer transfer business tonight.
And although time is running out, with several clubs showing an interest in United fringe men, that could still happen.
The likes of Paul McMullan, James Keatings and Tam Scobbie have all been linked with moves, so there is a chance of business being done.
As well as keeping an eye on that, manager Csaba Laszlo is preparing for Saturday’s visit to Alloa and the attempt to make it three league wins in a row.
That effort is expected to be boosted by the return of striker Nicky Clark after he missed last weekend’s win over Partick Thistle with an Achilles problem.
The 27-year-old had a scan yesterday on a problem that’s dogged him since the win at Queen of the South over two weeks ago but that was a purely precautionary measure.
He was back training with the rest of the squad today and if there is no reaction to that, he’ll be involved against the Wasps.
“He has had a scan just to make sure there is nothing wrong,” said Csaba.
“I am confident they will tell us it showed no damage and he will come back to the training. He has a chance for Saturday.”
Csaba, meanwhile, has praised the contribution of defender Paul Watson, whose two goals on his home debut were instrumental in securing the win over the Jags.
And he’s highlighted the need for more than just the strikers to chip in with goals.
“Paul is an experienced player and he knows the league from Falkirk. He has come here and made a difference.
“He is very strong in the air and he showed in the last game that he is special at set-pieces. He has a very good attacking header and a good defending one.
“With Sam Stanton out and Fraser Fyvie needing a little more time, you need players from other positions who can decide the games.
“I am happy about that.”
