Tam Courts has been embroiled in discussions with Rijeka over a summer switch from Dundee United.
Courier Sport revealed on Wednesday that the Croatian side were keen to take the Tangerines boss away from Tannadice.
Almost 48 hours later, the proposed move remains up in the air.

Rijeka interest
Courier Sport broke news of Rijeka’s interest in United’s head coach ahead of Wednesday night’s Scotland v Armenia clash at Hampden.
The Croatians, who finished fourth in their division last season and booked a place in the Europa Conference League second qualifying round, are on the hunt for a new boss after parting company with Goran Tomic in May.
Talks were ongoing between courts and Rijeka on Thursday.
Stumbling block?
On Thursday night, the Scottish Sun reported a sticking point over compensation between Rijeka and Dundee United.
The Tangerines expect a healthy fee from the Croatians for their head coach after an excellent first season in charge.
If Rijeka take a hard line – and United respond in kind – the deal is likely to die.
But Courier Sport understands that is not yet the situation.
What now?
Channels of communication remain open between Courts and Rijeka – and between Rijeka and United.
As long as that remains the case, there remains a chance a deal could be struck.
Courier Sport understands the Croatians have a number of other candidates on their shortlist to succeed Tomic.
But crucially, as it stands, the door has not yet been closed on Courts.
For now, it remains a waiting game for the United boss, his Croatian suitors and Tangerines fans.
