Dundee United are closing in on a deal for Crawley Town midfielder Panutche Camara.
A combative, box-to-box midfielder, Camara has racked up 165 appearances over two spells with the Red Devils, notching 11 goals and 15 assists.
The 28-year-old has been capped five times by the Guinea-Bissau national side and boasts spells with Ipswich, Charlton Athletic and Plymouth Argyle after arriving on British shores from Portuguese football as a youngster.
As he has UK citizenship, no work permit is required.
Although contracted to Crawley until 2026, it is understood an agreement could be struck to bring the player to Tannadice on a permanent deal after Scott Lindsey’s side were relegated to League Two last season.
