Dundee United have secured an allocation of 618 tickets for their European clash with FC UNA Strassen in Luxembourg later this month.
And the Terrors remain ‘hopeful’ that a small number of further briefs could also become available for the UEFA Conference League encounter, subject to demand.
The Tannadice outfit say the allocation decision comes after ‘constructive and positive discussions’ with their second qualifying round opponents.
Supporters could have faced an almighty scramble for seats had United been granted only the mandatory 5 per cent of around 100.
Instead, they have managed to secure around 30 per cent of the capacity of the Stade Municipal de la Ville de Differdange.
There is still expected to be high demand from United fans when tickets for the second-leg on July 31 go on sale at lunchtime on Friday.
A club statement said: “Following constructive and positive discussions, we are pleased to confirm that Dundee United have secured an allocation of 618 tickets for the away leg of our UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie against FC UNA Strassen.
“We remain in positive dialogue with FC UNA Strassen and are hopeful that a further, smaller allocation may be made available, subject to demand.”
Ticket details for FC UNA Strassen clash
The briefs will be sold directly online by UNA Strassen, with United stressing their ticket office will not be involved in the process for the away leg.
The travelling Tangerines fans will be housed in the covered main stand and in the uncovered section on the opposite side of the compact stadium in south-western Luxembourg.
The match has been moved to Differdange from UNA Strassen’s 1,500-capacity Complexe Sportif Jean Wirtz.
Tickets are prices €20 and €25 and are due to go on sale at 1 pm on Friday.
