Dundee United supporters are set to occupy more than HALF of the Stade Municipal in Differdange after another 400 tickets were secured for the European showdown against UNA Strassen.
United’s allocation of 618 was sold out within an hour of going on sale on Friday afternoon.
That was in spite of the ticketing platform, luxembourgticket, crashing several times under the weight of the demand and leaving many supporters venting their fury on social media.
The method of sales was decided by UNA Strassen, and is the same platform utilised by the Luxembourg FA for national team fixtures. However, that will be of little solace to those punters who were left disappointed.
Nevertheless, any United fans who missed out on tickets will have another opportunity next Tuesday at 1pm when a further tranche of briefs go on sale.
With a Uefa-recognised capacity of around 2,000, Tangerines’ chiefs have now negotiated more than 50% of the ground for travelling fans – TEN times more than the mandated 5%.
