Former Hearts striker Nikolay Todorov is the latest player to be linked with Dundee United.
The 22-year-old Bulgarian was at Tynecastle during United boss Robbie Neilson’s time in charge of the Jam Tarts.
Todorov also had loan spells with Cowdenbeath, Livingston – he scored for the West Lothian side against the Tannadice team last season – and Queen of the South.
Last summer he moved to Italian lower tier outfit Rieti, whom he joined on a two-year contract.
It is understood he turned out for United when they played Hearts in a bounce game last week.
