The SPFL have revealed three clubs have still to vote on their season-ending proposals, having missed the 5pm deadline.
All 42 sides had to decide whether or not to call a halt to the Championship, League One and League Two, with the Premiership’s fate will be frozen until April 23.
But the fate of the campaign hangs in the balance and the crucial vote lies in the second tier – after the resolution was approved in the other three division – where Dundee United are on the brink of a top-flight return.
A spokesman said: “It is very important that clubs consider carefully the resolution and we are grateful to those clubs who have voted already.
“With the Ladbrokes Premiership and Ladbrokes Leagues 1 & 2 divisions each having approved the resolution, we await the voting slip from the one Ladbrokes Championship club that has yet to vote. We will provide an update as soon as we are in a position to do so.”
Should the green light be given, the placings in the other divisions will be decided on points per game accumulated before the shutdown.
That would see Dundee United lift the Championship title and Partick Thistle relegated, with Raith Rovers winning League One and Stranraer going down.
Cove Rangers will be League Two title winners if the proposals get the go-ahead, while bottom club Brechin City will be saved. The play-offs are on course to be scrapped.
The league has also committed to consulting with clubs over the possibility of league restructuring ahead of season 2020-21.
