Arbroath boss looking for the right attitude

A trip to Stirling Albion in the next round lies in wait for either Clyde or Arbroath when they meet for the first time at Broadwood tonight, and Red Lichties manager Dick Campbell reckons that the side with the best attitude will win through.

Both teams suffered disappointing results in League Two at the weekend, with the Bully Wee losing 1-0 at Cowdenbeath and the Gayfield side going down by the same score at home to Edinburgh City.

Campbell said: “I have told the players that their attitude has to be spot on. We did not go out and play in the right way at the weekend.

“I think the players will have picked up pretty easily that I was far from happy.

“Edinburgh City set up to frustrate us and we allowed it to happen. Too many players stopped being creative and accepted what was going on. We stopped trying to get in behind them and to be honest we did not deserve anything from the match.”

Campbell added: “Clyde are the bigger club than Arbroath so we are the underdogs this time out. We have to have our attitude right and perhaps not being the favourites will help us.”

Ricky Little returns after suspension, with Dundee giving permission for on-loan striker Josh Skelly to be involved.
