Arbroath boss Dick Campbell has revealed the list of players he has decided to release.

Strikers Josh Skelly and Leighton McIntosh, goalies David Hutton and Ricky Gomes along with midfielder Ryan McCord will all be leaving Gayfield.

The Red Lichties suffered Championship play-off agony last weekend when they lost 3-2 on aggregate against Dumbarton.

Now that the dust has settled on their campaign, Campbell has decided who to let go.

Scott Martin has already returned to parent club Hibs after the conclusion of his loan spell with Campbell calling time on five others.

The manager said: “It is always tough at this time of the season but difficult decisions have to be made.

“Ryan had another year left on his deal with the club but he wants to be playing regularly and I couldn’t guarantee him that.

“But we have shaken hands and he leaves with my blessing and good wishes as do all the other lads who have moved on.

“I have 15 players signed for next season so I will not be doing a great deal of business this summer but obviously I am on the look-out for keepers and I am hopeful of signing one in the next couple of days.”
