The bottom two teams in Group C of the Betfred Cup meet at Gayfield tonight.
Both Arbroath and Cowdenbeath will have changed line-ups from the weekend.
Home boss Dick Campbell has two enforced alterations to make, with Ricky Little and Martin Scott suspended.
He said: “It gives other boys the chance to come in and show what they can do.
“Michael Dunlop and Josh Thomson are both likely to be involved.”
Cowdenbeath manager Liam Fox said: “It has been a tough run for the players physically as they have faced full time sides in Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Dundee United and then Dunfermline but they are sticking at things and deserve credit for that.
“We have Dean Brett, Chris Turner, James Creaney and Kris Renton out and a couple carrying niggles. The players coming in will be told that this is their chance to grab a starting jersey for the league.”
