LASK manager Dominik Thalhammer has admitted that “disgusting” St Johnstone knocked them out of their stride.
The Austrian team were strong favourites to bring a lead back to Perth for the second leg of the Europa Conference League play-off but in the end had to rely on a penalty to secure a 1-1 draw.
Thalhammer had his players warned about the collective strength of Saints but was shocked at the performance LASK produced before the half-time break.

“It was disgusting to play against them,” said Thalhammer.
“It wasn’t a good first half. We lost confidence in our game.
“We knew what to expect – long balls over the defence and that’s why we wanted fast people in the back row.
“Everything is open for the second leg.”
