Another of St Johnstone’s relegation players has found himself a new club in Scotland.
Elliot Watt, who was a January loan signing from Burton Albion, has made a permanent move to Motherwell.
The former Scotland under-21 international signed a two-year deal.
Like Graham Carey, Watt will be playing Premiership football again next season.
He will be hoping to build on a decent end to last season when he was restored to Simo Valakari’s starting line-up after losing a stone in weight.
He scored twice – one of those goals coming against his new club at Fir Park.
“From my short time in Scotland last year, I enjoyed the league,” said Watt.
“When this opportunity came up, I didn’t think twice.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to play regularly and enjoy my football.
“This is a club that has a great reputation, and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.
“I’ve now got some hard work ahead of me during pre-season, which I will get stuck straight into.”
Several ex-Saints players have now found new clubs for next season.
Jos Rae was swapped for Sam Stanton, Carey and Stevie May have a Premiership campaign with Livingston to look forward to, Matt Smith has joined Newport County and Kyle Cameron will play against him in EFL League Two with Bromley.
