St Johnstone are working on a deal to sign young Welsh striker, Louis Lloyd.
Courier Sport understands the Perth club have had a bid accepted for the 2024/25 Cymru Premier Young Player of the season, who will become their sixth summer signing if personal terms are agreed.
Lloyd’s 21 goals helped Caernarfon Town achieve a joint record fourth-place finish in the top-flight last season.
He scored five times in the final four games of the regular campaign to share the golden boot on a tally of 16.
Then he grabbed another four goals in a play-off quarter-final.
Lloyd spent his early football years with Liverpool, Wrexham and Connah’s Quay Nomads, joining Shrewsbury Town in 2020, where he made two senior appearances.
He later returned to Wrexham before being released by the big-spending Dragons two years ago.
His career has taken off with Caernarfon over the last two seasons, with Lloyd scoring 31 goals in 74 appearances.
He signed a new two-year contract just a few weeks ago, but Saints have lodged a bid that has been accepted and are now in discussions with the player.
