Win a 7 night holiday for two with the Evening Telegraph, Hays Travel and easyJet holidays
1. This competition is open to residents within the Evening Telegraph circulation area only and participants must be 18 years or over, excluding employees, immediate families and agents of DC Thomson Group and its subsidiaries, Hays Travel and easyJet holidays.
2. To enter the competition entrants must collect 6 letters that will spell out the winning word and enter via one of the following:
- online at our website
- send the letters and completed form to us at Evening Telegraph Win a Holiday Competition, DC Thomson & Co Ltd., 2 Albert Square, Dundee, DD1 1DD
- hand the letters and completed form into one our partner Hays Travel Stores – 22 City Square Dundee, 193 Brook Street Broughty Ferry or 28A Crossgate Cupar. Hand delivering to one of the listed Hays Travel stores gives entrants one bonus entry.
3. Entries must be in before the closing date of Monday 27th January 2025 at 5pm.
4. Multiple posted entries are permitted.
5. The Evening Telegraph accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete, or those that cannot be delivered for any technical or other reason.
6. The competition will run in paper from Monday 13th January 2025 until Saturday 18th January 2025.
6. A winner will be randomly selected from all correct entries at the end of the competition period and will be notified via the contact details provided.
7. If the winner does not respond within 10 days, The Evening Telegraph reserves the right to choose another winner at random to receive the prize.
8. Winner must be available for holiday departure date of Friday 26th September 2025, returning 3rd October 2025. The prize is as stated and there is no cash or prize alternative. Winner must be willing to participate in photographic publicity. If winner cannot depart on the stated departure date or take part in the afore mentioned publicity then the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner selected at random.
9. The prize is a trip for two adults traveling from Edinburgh to Rhodes, staying at the Sol By Melia Cosmopolitan Rhodes on an all-Inclusive basis in 1 room, with private transfers. Travel will also be supplied to and from Edinburgh airport via the Dundee FLY to/from Edinburgh airport bus.
10. The winner and their chosen guest are responsible for making sure they are adequately insured.
11. All travel is subject to easyJet holidays standard terms and conditions. Once the booking is confirmed changes to the names, date or nature of the booking are not permitted.
12. Once tickets have been issued, the Evening Telegraph shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, political unrest, or any other circumstances beyond the control of the Evening Telegraph, travel companies or third party responsible for any element of the prize as set out.
13. All expenses not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions will be the responsibility of the winner and their guest.
14. The prize is strictly non-transferable and non-refundable, and no exchanges will be given. Prize cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount. The Prize is redeemable only by the named winner and must not be sold onto any other party.
15. The Evening Telegraph and Hays Travel reserve the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances. No compensation is payable in the event the winner is unable to use the prize.
16. The name of the prize winner will be available for a period of two months from the draw date by emailing comps@eveningtelegraph.co.uk.
17. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions – entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid.
18. The entrant agrees to cooperate in any publicity arising, which may include their name being used online or in print as a result of the competition.
19. The Evening Telegraph reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion.
20. The editor’s decision in all matters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
