A taste of what is to come at Scotland’s international poetry festival was offered in Dundee on Tuesday.
Festival director Eleanor Livingstone hosted a preview at Dundee Rep, which featured readings from Stewart Conn and Dundee lecturer Dawn Wood.
The 14th annual StAnza will welcome contributors from around the world, alongside British talent. Headline acts including Selima Hill, Marilyn Hacker, Paul Farley and Fiona Sampson will make their debuts at the festival.
Bob Holman will demonstrate “slam” poetry, New York style, there will be “polypoetry” from Ghent and a children’s programme will be headed by Julia Donaldson.
The festival also has its first Gaelic poet in residence, Maoilios Caimbeul, and a concert will be given by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, featuring poetry by Sorley MacLean.
StAnza takes place in St Andrews from March 16 to 20.
