Coming up in Saturday’s Courier a rather Boring and Dull day

At last the waiting is over.

After much anticipation, Boring and Dull day is at last here. A range of exciting celebrations are planned. Watching paint dry, a snooker game with Steven Davis…

The settlements of Boring, Oregon, and the Perthshire hamlet of Dull are somewhat natural bedfellows. In Saturday’s Courier we reveal that the good people of Bland Shire in Australia also want to get in on the act.

And who the heck can blame them?

Don’t miss thrilling news of a Boring, Dull and Bland day.

We also have details of the round the world pilot who has returned to terra firma after a fantastical 59,000 mile, 81 day flight of discovery.

How did he get on? And was he disappointed to take a day longer than Phileas Fogg? Find out in our wonderful weekend extravaganza.

Beware the Burryman. We have news of the strange beast stalking the streets of a Scottish town (in an increasingly drunken manner)…

Dressed in frankly bizarre garb, the Burryman is greeted by delighted locals in a ritual that apparently brings good luck.

The costume does have its limitations. Although as the Burryman (who is given frequent nips of whisky) himself states: “It doesn’t matter if the Burryman wets himself”. Gosh.

With news of an 87 year-old “boy racer”, a balloon fiesta and details of a super moon, it really is shaping up to be a Courier to remember (unless you are the Burryman, in which case you will be very lucky to remember anything at all).

A weekend without a Courier is somewhat akin to battered fish without chips. Frankly unthinkable. Please do be sure to snap up your copy or perhaps, just maybe, even consider giving our digital edition a whirl.
