Coming up in Monday’s Courier GOLD

Coming up in Monday’s Courier GOLD

Goodbye Glasgow’s Golden Games.

You have Galvanised a nation. And been Good. Great even.

I can’t think of anything else beginning with a “g” so I’ll move on.

Suffice to say the extravaganza has ended. We have all the news as the Commonwealth curtain comes down.

And that’s not the only thing that is finished, over, done with. Done over with. Finished.

Perth Show concluded over the weekend and, despite the rain, a good time was had by all.

Meanwhile, Inverkeithing Highland Games is also over for another year. It was also wet. But fun nevertheless.

On Saturday night there were impressive scenes in Dundee as hundreds of modified cars descended on the Kingsway.

I don’t know much about motors but there were some fantastic contraptions on show. Don’t miss our cracking coverage.

Are you in your 40s? Or approaching them? It may sound like a rude question, and in some ways I suppose it is.

But there is a reason for my impertinence.

You will find out why in Monday’s working week beginning extravaganza, but it’s to do with your earning power and the fact you can expect it to drop dramatically in your 50s…

We have more on the jaw-dropping stats.

Many approach Monday in a somewhat downbeat mood. But not us. Far from it. We love Mondays. And Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (not so much, there’s no Courier on a Sunday you see). Please do be sure to pick up your Monday edition. If the thought of a trip to the newsagent fills you with inexplicable (or even explicable for that matter) dread, why not try our digital edition?
