A hole at Montrose Golf Links has been shortened following wind damage to netting.
The structure which supports the netting at the 13th hole at Montrose links was severely damaged by high winds.
Montrose Golf Links said it has now been made safe at the side of the fairway until it can be repaired.
A statement reads: “MGLL will need to reinstate the structure/netting and is currently in the throes of obtaining quotations etc, before building work can commence.
“Because of the nature of the work to be carried out a mixture of civil and structural completion of the work will take a few weeks.
“MGLL have a long-standing obligation to protect the house at the 13th from golf balls hitting it.”
The 13th will be shortened to a 150-yard par 3 in the meantime and the 14th and 15th holes will use the summer tee areas in order to extend the length of the back nine.
The club has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
