Arbroath FC will host a gala celebration to mark the 130th anniversary of the most famous day in the club’s history.
Estonian side FC Infonet Tallinn only last month equalled the incredible 36-0 scoreline Arbroath notched up against Bon Accord in 1885.
A gala dinner will be held in a marquee which will be set up on the pitch at Gayfield to mark the landmark occasion on Friday, September 11.
The evening will be hosted by journalist Bill Leckie with comedian Jimmy Stirling and lifelong Arbroath supporter Ian Wishart as guest speakers.
It is also hoped that notable figures from Scottish football will also be in attendance to support the main speakers on the night.
The club is also introducing a hall of fame to recognise the significant achievements of players, managers and officials over the years.
The first three people will be inducted during the anniversary dinner which chairman John Christison said would make for a “truly memorable occasion”.
He said: “I would urge as many people as possible from Arbroath and wider afield to come along and be part of the club’s celebrations.”
The following evening the club, in association with Relay for Life, will hold a charity dance in the marquee.
Bookings for both should be made via info@strathmoreeventservices.co.uk.
