A fourth man has appeared in court over an alleged attack on former Scotland international goalkeeper Robert Douglas.
Ryan Lawrence from Airdrie appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court and pleaded not guilty to assaulting Douglas and Forfar Athletic steward Thomas McKelvie at the club’s Station Park ground on April 11.
Lawrence’s three co-accused Ian Bear, Kenneth Murray and Douglas Allsop appeared last month and entered not guilty pleas.
Bear, 36, Murray, 30, and Lawrence, 19, are alleged to have assaulted Douglas and breached the peace by running on to the pitch.
Prosecutors also state Lawrence’s alleged assault against Douglas was aggravated by religious prejudice.
Allsop, 40, faces a single public disorder charge.
All four will go to trial in November.
