Police called in after staff belongings stolen at Monifieth Tesco

Staff at Tesco Extra in Monifieth have had belongings stolen twice after a thief targeted the supermarket.
It is believed that cash, purses and wallets were among the items taken from staff areas at the store.
Police have been informed of the thefts, which happened at the shop on Monifieth High Street once in May and more recently on August 8.
A spokesman for Tesco said: “We have robust procedures in place to ensure that colleagues’ items are safe and take allegations of theft very seriously.
“This is now a matter for the police and we will be helping them in any way we can.”
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Tayside Division have received two complaints of thefts, one which occurred in May and the other on August 8.
