Mr and Mrs Panda Head go on display at Duncan of Jordanstone

Mr and Mrs Panda Head at home.
Animal-obsessed artist Mary Beth Quigley is to unveil a life-sized menagerie featuring a giraffe, hippo, lemur, penguin and flamingo.
Her contribution to the degree show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design will even see her give a live performance as Mrs Panda Head in a room filled with photographs of her and her equally bearish “husband”, Mr Panda Head.
Mary Beth, 24, said: “I’ve always been fascinated by David Attenborough programmes and nature in general and this is why stuffed animals feature in my work, although it’s probably some sub-conscious refusal to grow up.
“My aim is to engage the viewer, to conjure their own personal memories and, most importantly, for them to enjoy it.”
