Two MSPs will visit Dundee to hear about work to improve the sexual health of young people.
Mark McDonald and Nanette Milne are members of Holyrood’s health and sport committee, which is holding an inquiry into teenage pregnancies.
Dundee has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Scotland.
During their tour the MSPs will visit the unit for young mothers at Menzieshill High School and talk to members of the health buddies peer education scheme at the Corner young person’s centre.
Ms Milne said: “It is invaluable for MSPs to see first-hand examples of innovative projects that aim to take a new approach to educating young people about sexual health.”
City council education convener Stewart Hunter said: “Young people will be able to tell the MSPs about their experiences in projects like the health buddies initiative.”
The scheme is being delivered at Menzieshill High and Morgan Braeview and Baldragon academies.
