A man has been charged after the body of missing Dunfermline woman Carol-Anne Taggart was found at Pettycur Bay Caravan Park.
The 54-year-old had been missing since before Christmas and police say her death is being treated as murder.
Her son, 30-year-old Ross Taggart, has been charged in connection with her death. He is expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, although no date has been confirmed.
Officers had been conducting various enquiries to trace Carol-Anne since she was reported missing on December 22.
On Wednesday January 7 a detailed search of her home in Hill of St Margaret was undertaken followed by a subsequent search of the Pettycur Caravan Park in Kinghorn on Monday, where she owned a unit.
Carol-Anne’s body was found on the site and subsequently recovered late on Monday evening.
A post-mortem was carried out on Tuesday.
