Man appears in court charged with attempted murder in Kirkcaldy

A man has appeared in court on a petition alleging attempted murder.

Fraser McBain, 39, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

McBain, whose address was only given as Kirkcaldy, was also charged with four counts of assault.

It follows an incident in the town last Wednesday afternoon, when a 40-year-old woman was allegedly thrown from a car near Beveridge Park and dragged a short distance.

McBain was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
