Pop legends T’Pau will perform in Montrose on March 13 next year in another coup for North East Musical and Sports Promotions.

T’Pau will soon be releasing a new studio album, Pleasure and Pain, and Carol Decker and the band will be doing a full tour to support it, featuring new songs as well as all the classics like China in your Hand.

Angus father and son Charlie and Craig Campbell set up North East Musical and Sports Promotions earlier this year and have hit the ground running.

Charlie said: “We are delighted to confirm that Carol Decker and T’Pau are the latest big name act to be confirmed for Montrose.

“The band shot to fame in the ’80s with worldwide multi-million selling hits such as China In Your Hand and Heart and Soul and quadruple-platinum selling album Bridge of Spies.

“Scotland’s top covers band Blue Delta will be the support in what will be a memorable ’80s revival night.”

Other gigs include Montrose dates for top European tribute band Gunz and Rozes and From the Jam, whose line-up includes original Jam member Bruce Foxton.

T’Pau’s appearance follows North East Musical and Sports Promotions securing Mo performances by Big Country and Runrig singer Donnie Munro.

Tickets, priced £22, are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk
