A group of football fans are facing charges over an alleged attack on former Dundee and Scotland goalkeeper Robert Douglas.
The 42-year-old former Scotland international was at the centre of an incident after the final whistle on his current club’s 2-0 win over Airdrie, which took the Angus club to the top of League One.
Four men are alleged to have directed abuse at the stopper Ian Bear, Kenneth Murray, Ryan Lawrence and Douglas Allsop.
The first three are also alleged to have assaulted him on April 11.
One of the offences is said to have been “aggravated by religious prejudice”.
The alleged incident took place at the Forfar club’s Station Park ground.
The men were due to appear at the town’s sheriff court yesterday but technical difficulties led to the case not calling.
It is understood they will be issued another undertaking to appear in due course.
